Airline Compliance

Cabin size standards and what to check before you fly.

AAVONA is built to the standard carry-on dimensions accepted by most international airlines (IATA cabin baggage guideline: 55 × 40 × 20–23 cm including wheels and handles).

Always check before flying. Individual airlines — particularly low-cost and regional carriers — may apply stricter size or weight limits than the general standard. Verify your airline's current cabin baggage policy before departure.

TSA Lock Setup

Setting your personal combination.

TSA lock diagram showing reset button (a), combination dial (b) and button (c)

The combination set by default is 0‑0‑0. Follow the steps below to set a new combination:

  1. Turn the dials (b) to unlocked status.
  2. Press down the reset button (a) with a pen or other tool.
  3. Turn the dials (b) to set your new combination.
  4. Push the button (c) until the reset button pops up.

Your new combination is now set. To change it again, repeat the steps above.

Remember your combination. If you forget it, there is no way to open your lock.

Interior Care

Keeping the interior compartments in working order.

Waterproof Compartment

  • Let it air dry before closing it after each use.
  • Avoid storing wet items for more than 24 hours.
  • Wipe the inside with a damp cloth if residue builds up.

Zippers

  • Brush off sand, dust and debris before zipping.
  • Apply a small amount of zipper lubricant or wax if it runs stiff.
  • Never force a stuck zipper — clear the obstruction first.

Hanging Divider

  • Do not exceed the hook's recommended load.
  • Keep straps and buckles free of dirt.
  • Fold flat when not in use to avoid creasing.
06

Care

Keep your AAVONA in working order for years.

Cleaning

  • Clean with a soft microfiber cloth.
  • Use mild soap and water when necessary.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Wipe the aluminum shell dry to avoid water spotting.

Storage

  • Store dry and clean when not in use.
  • Avoid stacking sharp or heavy objects on the shell.
  • Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight.
Do not use solvents, alcohol-based cleaners, or abrasive scouring pads on the aluminum shell. These can damage the surface finish permanently.
07

Warranty

5 years on manufacturing defects.

AAVONA provides a 5-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper care, accidents, abrasion, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids or water, normal wear and tear, or improper handling by a carrier (for example, an airline). Cosmetic damage — scratches, dents, stains, discoloration, or other non-functional changes in appearance — is also excluded.

If your AAVONA was damaged in transit, file a claim with the carrier (airline) at your destination — if possible, before clearing customs. Carrier-handling damage falls outside the AAVONA warranty and must be claimed directly with the airline or transport company responsible.
For a warranty claim covering a manufacturing defect, contact AAVONA Support with your order number and a description of the issue.
08

Recycling

Built to last — and to be recycled responsibly.

AAVONA's aluminum shell is fully recyclable. At the end of your suitcase's life, separate the aluminum shell from the wheels, zippers, and interior lining before disposal, and take the shell to a local metal recycling point.

Replacement parts extend the product's lifespan significantly — before recycling, consider whether a worn part can simply be replaced. See Wheel Replacement above.
